This is the Tiger Fresh Milk ($5.50) from Sharetea. The drink is made with a layer of warm pearls topped with brown sugar syrup, ice and fresh full cream milk. Served chilled, the caramel sweetness is almost overwhelming but masks the dairy flavour of the fresh full cream milk completely while the drink remains creamy. The warm pearls stay soft and chewy, contrasting well with the chilled milk.
Overall, the drink had a much fuller and rounder mouthfeel than the milk teas made from non-dairy creamer, but I do miss the fragrance of the Earl Grey black tea base as well as the far more controllable sweetness in a pearl milk tea.
