This is the Chicha San Chen Green Tea with Passionfruit ($7.50, +$1.00 for konjac, regular sweetness, no ice). The drink was a translucent yellow hue with toppings of white pearls and passionfruit pulp. When consumed chilled, the passionfruit notes emerged at the start of each sip, presenting a mild tropical flavour and a subtle texture from the seeds, albeit missing the characteristic tartness of the fruit. This allowed the lightly grassy and earthy roasted aspects of the Chinese green tea to surface in the body of the drink. The white pearls contributed the perfect texture, being both bouncy and chewy, harmonizing well with the subdued passionfruit flavour. All in all, this proved to be an enjoyable passionfruit-flavoured green tea; however, it lacked the textural allure and invigorating brightness found in a similar tea from CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice Bubble Gaga.
