Consumed chilled, the matcha came through bright and vegetal at the head of each sip, with the natural hints of the sweetness of the matcha developing in the body being well countered by its natural umami notes. That said, the matcha latte is neither sweet nor savoury — its vegetal quality dominates, with the dairy notes adding a thicker mouthfeel to the matcha. Its lack of added sweetness makes it superior to the regular matcha latte.
