This is the Teaser Lychee Go ($7.20, 100% sugar, 100% ice), a jasmine green tea with lychee and aloe vera. The layering of the toppings — the heavier aloe vera at the base, then lychee flavoured green tea, then the lychee flesh, then finally the ice, gave a very aesthetic visual presentation. Consumed chilled, the lychee flavour came through remarkably natural and not at all syrupy as a result of the generous canned flesh and the natural dewy floral notes of the jasmine tea providing driving most of the flavour. The aloe adds an additional ‘crisper’ texture and a gentle sweetness, making for a refreshing beverage with a balanced sweetness.
