This Renberg Strawberry & Lime is Aldi’s version of the similarly flavoured Kopparberg cider.
The cider is a translucent red-pink colour with a moderate carbonation and a bright aroma of fresh strawberry. Served chilled, the notes of strawberry came through at the head of each sip, but with an overly prominent sweetness that recall cough syrup with the hint of bitterness from the alcohol in the background. The presence of lime is subtle — adding a hint of acidity that’s also easily attributable to the strawberry — but without the zestiness that made the original Kopparberg version so enjoyable.
This Renberg Strawberry & Lime Cider contained 500 ml. It was produced in Sweden and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2018.
