This is the Suntory Lipton Melty Strawberry Milk Tea, a winter-limited beverage inspired by the strawberry shortcake, a quintessential winter celebration cake in Japan. It does not contain fruit juice.

The beverage had an opaque tan hue with a sweet strawberry milk aroma reminiscent of Morinaga’s strawberry-flavoured caramel. When consumed chilled, the beverage had a smooth and creamy mouthfeel, with the strawberry notes at the beginning of each sip offering a sweet and mellow touch of fruitiness that persisted in the background. The rich milk tea flavour, similar to Kirin Gogo no Kōcha Milk Tea, dominated the second half of the sip, accompanied by a rich sweetness and fruity undertones of strawberry. The strawberry notes were pleasantly muted yet distinctly present, while the sweetness was bright but not overwhelming, enhancing the richness of flavour. The aftertaste lingered with the same sweet strawberry caramel notes present in the aroma. Overall, this was an elegant and worthy twist on a regular milk tea.
This Suntory Lipton Melty Strawberry Milk Tea contained 450 mL. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2024.
