Fever-Tree Soda Lime & Yuzu

This is the Fever-Tree Soda Lime & Yuzu. It’s described as being perfect for mixing with vodka or tequila, but not being avid drinkers, we’re trying it on its own. It’s made with Tahitian lime (2%) from Mexico and pressed oil extract from the Japanese yuzu (0.2%).

The beverage was a cloudy and off-white colour with a zesty lime aroma and moderate carbonation. Served chilled, the zesty notes of lime came through at the head of each sip with the delicate sweetness of the fruit’s juice before the subtle floral notes of yuzu emerged in the body ahead of a punchy acidity. The drink finished very dry and left a clean aftertaste with no lingering notes. The overall sweetness of the drink was very restrained, which was unsurprising at 16 calories per 100 mL, and made it refreshing and likely well suited as a base for mixing alcohols. However, we’re unlikely to repurchase due to the muted yuzu notes in favour of the dominating lime.

This Fever-Tree Soda Lime & Yuzu contained 500 mL. It was produced in the United Kingdom and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2022.
