This is the Suntory CC Lemon Yuzu Mix, a limited seasonal release containing 1% juice from both lemon and yuzu.
The beverage had a translucent, cloudy yellow hue and a sweet, floral citrus aroma driven by the presence of yuzu. Carbonation was mild. Consumed chilled, it opened with gentle sour lemon notes, rounded by soft sweetness and an aromatic floral lift from the yuzu. A sharper, juicier acidity followed in the second half of each sip, enhancing the citrus clarity. Notably, the yuzu was prominent—standing apart from the base lemon notes and presenting as more than a label. Unlike many overseas “yuzu and lemon” flavoured drinks, where the term “yuzu” is often used more for effect than for actual flavour, this offered a clearly discernible yuzu character. The floral edge of the yuzu lingered in the finish, clean and refreshing without cloying sweetness. Mild effervescence provided palate lift without interfering with flavour delivery.
Overall, the drink was well-balanced between sweetness, acidity, and citrus intensity, offering a refreshingly well-executed seasonal variant.
