This is the Fukuren Soy Milk Drink Kinako, containing at least 4% soybean solids sourced from Kyūshū and kinako made from soybeans grown in Hokkaidō Prefecture.
The beverage had an opaque off-white hue and a mild nutty aroma. When consumed chilled, its flavour was reminiscent of regular sweetened soy milk from Kikkoman, with the kinako presence being notably subtle. It lacked the vibrant roasted notes typical of kinako and the layered sweetness often provided by kuromitsu in Kikkoman’s version. While the drink retained a smooth and creamy mouthfeel, its overall profile fell short of delivering the richness or complexity of its Kikkoman counterpart, making it less compelling for repurchase.
