This is the Guozi Shule Dou Dou Lemon Tea Summer Black Grape, made with 1 g of juice from Summer Black red grapes and lemon juice concentrate.
The beverage had a translucent deep brown-red hue with a sweet, musky grape aroma and fruity black tea notes. On tasting, the grape flavour was immediately prominent, delivering a rich musky sweetness at the head of each sip. This developed into a juicy acidity mid-sip, drawn from the lemon tea base. The fruity notes then transitioned into the general fruitiness of the black tea in the second half of the sip, accompanied by a slight astringency and subtle bitterness. The grape notes returned to linger in the finish.
Overall, this was a bold grape-flavoured black tea that captured the musky labrusca notes of red grapes with finesse. However, a more vibrant and natural grape profile would have been preferable, likely influenced by the variety of grapes used.

This Guozi Shule Dou Dou Lemon Tea Summer Black Grape contained 500 mL. It was produced in China and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2024.
