This Ito En Ice Tea Lychee Decaf is made with real lychee juice (and flavour) and suited to those quick tea fixes in the afternoon.
The tea is a transparent golden yellow colour with a vibrant aroma of lychees and an accompanying sweetness that recalled lychee syrup. Served chilled, the leafy notes of green tea came through at the head of each sip before a prominent sugary sweetness builds in the body. The notes of lychee are surprisingly muted in comparison to its presence in the aroma, and emerge most prominently in the finish to linger pleasantly in the aftertaste after the sugary sweetness recedes. Overall, the tea was enjoyable and refreshing but we would prefer more restraint in the sweetness.
This Ito En Ice Tea Lychee Decaf contained 535 ml. It was produced in Taiwan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2021.
