This is the Surf Beverage Corn Silk Tea. It used corn silk and corn kernel grown in Hokkaidō, containing dietary fibre equivalent to two lettuces.
The beverage had a clear golden-yellow hue and a rich aroma of roasted sweet corn. When consumed at room temperature, the sweet corn flavour came through with a mild savoury note at the start of each sip, followed by increasingly aromatic roasted corn tones by mid-sip, where a subtle natural sweetness of corn emerged and lingered through to a smooth finish. The richness of the corn flavour was surprising, with the taste closely resembling roasted sweet corn and recalling a sixteen-grain tea popular in Japan. The aromatic corn flavour accompanied by the mild savoury and sweet notes made it a refreshing, calorie-free, and caffeine-free beverage worth repurchasing.
