This is the Riska Sakutto Shittori Matcha. They’re a corn puff snack coated in matcha flavoured white chocolate cream.
Each puff was cylindrical, around 3 cm in diameter and 1 cm in height with a gentle matcha aroma. Upon tasting, the corn puff gave an audible crunch with a light airiness and mild corn taste. The corn notes dissipated swiftly as the chocolate melted on the palate and delivered the bright grassy notes of matcha with a notable bitterness that was balanced by the creamy sweetness. A trace of mild bitterness from the matcha lingered in the aftertaste. Overall, these were enjoyable.
