Kẹo hạt điều is a Vietnamese snack consisting of cashews cooked in caramelized sugar, sprinkled with sesame seeds then sandwiched in a wafer biscuit. This one is imported from Vietnam and packed in Australia.

Each package contained seven sandwiched wafers and two open-faced wafers at the top. The wafers had a subtly sweet with the open-faced wafers being most generous in their cashew and sesame distribution. Upon tasting, the wafers gave way with an audible crispness that’s enhanced by the caramelised sugar, while the cashews delivered a complementing buttery nuttiness. The caramelised bits had the tendency to get stuck in the teeth, but the overall experience was enjoyable and light without being overly sweet.
This Fraternity Kẹo Hạt Điều contained 100 g. It was produced in Vietnam and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2022.
