The corn chips had cheese baked into the dough and were coated in a reddish-brown powdered seasoning, giving off a typical savoury corn chip aroma. On tasting, garlicky onion notes were the first to come through, followed by a fresh tomato acidity mid-bite, and a hint of cumin warmth. The cumin enhanced the meaty, bean-like flavours of the chilli con carne, evoking the seasoning of lamb dishes without any gaminess. Towards the finish, the chilli, initially a mild warmth, intensified with each bite to a healthy but manageable heat level. While we enjoyed the flavour, we’re unlikely to repurchase it over other options in the lineup.
