These are the Kettle Chip Company Chunky Red Hot Sauce. We were curious how these compared to the original Kettle Chilli with Jalapeno and Red Chillies.
These chips were about 2 mm thick, dusted in a bright orange-red seasoning, and have the sharp aroma of chilli and paprika. Upon tasting, an initial sweetness recalling tomato came through with the spicy heat of the red chilli emerging in the finish, mellow on the first chip but building to a gentle burn on subsequent chips. The flavour of the red hot sauce is the sensation of heat but is very weak on the spice, which makes them a miss in favour of the original.
These Kettle Chip Company Chunky Red Hot Sauce contained 150 g. It was produced in Australia and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2021.
