Kettle Chip Company Sweet Chilli and Sour Cream

We picked up this bag of Kettle Chip Company Sweet Chilli and Sour Cream out of curiosity as to how they would compare to the original chilli flavour. It uses sour cream from Gippsland in Victoria.

These chips are medium-thick cut and kettle cooked and dusted in a orange seasoning with prominent red specks. Upon tasting, these chips have an initial sweetness before registering as a prominent sour cream flavour, while the chilli came through in the finish as a gentle burn. Overall, they recall the mainstream ‘sour cream and onion’ flavour, with the onion swapped out for the chilli. Compared to the original chilli flavour, the sweetness of these chips make them easier to keep eating. While D does not prefer them to the original, he’d be happy to alternate between the two flavours.

This Kettle Chip Company Sweet Chilli and Sour Cream contained 175 g. It was produced in Australia and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2019.
