Pork is one of my favourite meats. So there’s little resistance when I spot these Red Rock Deli Potato Chips Special Reserve Slow Roasted Pork Belly & Mustard Cider Jus.
These chips are seasoned generously with a red-orange coloured seasoning and smell distinctly of roasted pork – and lightly tangy. Upon tasting, the same meaty flavour of roasted pork came through before the tangy notes of the mustard cider jus add an extra depth of fragrant flavour mid-bite and restrain the meaty pork flavour. There’s a sweetness in the finish, but the pork flavour persists throughout in an enjoyable way that’s very distinct from chips flavoured with beef or chicken or even bacon. Lovers of pork will enjoy these chips.
