Woolworths Chocolate Mud Cake is one of our favourite cakes for its rich chocolate flavour and moist texture, so we tried this Woolworths Indulgent Chocolate Cake.
The cake is described as a ‘indulgent chocolate cake layered with a creamy chocolate frosting and topped with chocolate shavings’. It’s made with dark chocolate containing at least 50% cocoa.
The cake has a rich chocolate flavour in both the sponge and the frosting, but the texture is wanting. The sponge is dry and crumbly, while both the sponge and the frosting having an odd sturdiness that keep their shape even when the cake is knocked around. The texture is a far cry from the moist and fluffy texture of our favourite chocolate mud cake, which is a fraction of the price.
