We sampled the Iced Vovo chocolate milk — a collaboration between Arnott’s and Dairy Farmers — and could not quite understand how they thought anyone would ever pay $3.00 for it, but thought the Arnott’s Milk Chocolate Inspired by Iced Vovo might fare better.
It’s described as ‘milk chocolate blended with crunchy biscuit bits, coconut & raspberry flavoured jellies’.
The chocolate has the distinctive raspberry and coconut smell of Iced Vovo biscuits. Upon tasting, it’s the same flavours of raspberry and coconut that came through, but the ‘jellies’ are not soft or squishy. Rather, they’re much like chalk candy, giving a firmer crunch than even the biscuit pieces, which is neither a fair representation of the chewy raspberry jam and marshmallow in the original nor the promised jellies. Overall, it tastes like an Iced Vovo that’s been dipped in chocolate and the inaccurate crunchiness aside, it’s difficult to go wrong with the flavour combination of chocolate, coconut, raspberry and butter biscuits.
