This Cadbury Dairy Milk Packed with Creme Egg was a special edition released in time for Easter 2019 and saw me looking for the original Cadbury Creme Egg for the first time in the interest of comparing the two. It’s described as being ‘milk chocolate with a gooey Creme Egg flavoured centre’.
The block has a thick chocolate shell to contain the smooth and creamy white fondant of the ‘egg white’ and a clear caramel ‘egg yolk’. This block is made in Australia much like the mini Cadbury Creme Egg and unlike the original Cadbury Creme Egg that is now produced in the UK and tastes superior. The overall fondant on chocolate combination is incredibly sweet as expected but the caramel retains the odd sweet-tart flavour of the mini Creme Egg that remains off putting.
