Cadbury Dairy Milk with Kettle Sea Salt

Cadbury released two special edition flavours in their Dairy Milk range in August to coincide with the football finals and inspired by the common habit of eating chips and chocolate with family and friends while watching the finals. I’ve no interest in football, but that’s what people do, apparently. This one here is Cadbury Dairy Milk with Kettle Sea Salt.

As the name suggests, the classic Cadbury Dairy Milk milk chocolate has Kettle Sea Salt potato chip pieces throughout.

The bar smells like regular milk chocolate with no hint of the crunch within. Upon tasting though, the crunch is audible just as you would expect from regular thick cut chips by Kettle. As the milk chocolate melts, the chips release a well-balanced hint of saltiness in the body and as the chocolate recedes, we’re left with a mild potato flavour of the chips in the finish.

The Kettle Sea Salt potato chips came through as a source of crunch and salty flavour, but the overall flavour was mild and reminds us of chocolate with sea salt rather something that’s as ‘disruptive’ and ‘unexpected’ to the chocolate market as promoted.

This Cadbury Dairy Milk with Kettle Sea Salt contained 190 g. It was produced in Australia and purchased in Sydney, Australia
