This is the Dark Chocolate Macadamias from Duck Creek Macadamias, a macadamia farm located in the Byron Bay Hinterland of NSW. It consisted of 22.5 g of whole macadamias covered in dark chocolate (containing 47% cocoa solids).

The macadamia nuts were generously coated with a uniform layer of dark chocolate, approximately 2 mm thick. When tasted, the dark chocolate yielded effortlessly, revealing the macadamia within. The macadamia nuts offered a delightful textural contrast, contributing a light and crisp crunch to offset the denser dark chocolate. As the macadamia nuts crumbled, they released a delightful nutty sweetness, leaving the dark chocolate to gradually melt on the palate. The dark chocolate exhibited its characteristic smooth richness and fruity undertones, complementing the fruity nuttiness of the macadamia. In summary, we appreciated the discernible quality of the ingredients used, from the chocolate to the macadamia. However, we personally lean towards the denser crunch of peanuts over macadamia nuts.
This Duck Creek Macadamias Dark Chocolate contained 80 g. It was produced in Australia and received as a gift from family in Sydney, Australia in 2018.
