This is the Mars Snickers Peanut Brownie.
Each bar was around 10 cm in length and featured a layer of caramel (18%) and a brownie (35%) studded with peanuts (11%) and enrobed in milk chocolate (35%).
Biting through the chocolate bar, the softness of the gooey caramel gave way to the slightly firmer brownie. The brownie replaced the nougat in the original Snickers bar, and the result was a richly sweet chocolate flavour that was punctuated with some crunch from the peanuts. The overall sweetness of the chocolate bar was overwhelming, though, and there weren’t nearly enough peanuts for sufficient crunch to add textural variation or nuttiness to bring relief from the sweetness. We prefer the original Snickers.
