This is the Toblerone Milk White Dark Assortment. They’re the usual Swiss chocolates with honey and almond nougat.
Each mini bar is 3.5 cm in length and 1.5 cm in height and width with three segments.
The original milk chocolate version remains our favourite for the optimum balance between the hint of richness and bitterness that comes from the chocolate with the deep sweetness that comes from the honey and the clearer sweetness of the nougat.
The sweet notes of honey restrain the bitterness from the dark chocolate but the boldness of the flavour overwhelms the more delicate sweetness of the nougat.
The white chocolate imparts an intensely creamy richness and bold sweetness to the chocolate that tips the balance just a bit too far for us. It’s no wonder the milk chocolate version is the original.
Perhaps the dark chocolate and the white chocolate are variations to remind us of the goodness of the original.
