Fettuccine Gumi is a line of sweet and sour candy by Bourbon that comes in the shape of short sections of fettuccine pasta. We’d seen them on earlier trips to Japan but it wasn’t until spotting this nashi pear flavoured version that we tried it. In true ‘pasta’ fashion the packaging promises an ‘al dente’, chewy texture.
Each gummy is yellow in colour, covered in white crystals and about 4 x 1 x 0.5 cm in size with a sweet aroma.
Upon tasting, the gummy do indeed have an ‘al dente’ bite that provides plenty of bounce on the teeth, while the crystals dissolve to a salivating sourness just as a bright, sweet nashi flavour came through the yellow section of the gummy. Overall, we’re thrilled with the nashi flavour and al dente, chewy texture of these gummy and only wish we’d brought home more!
This Bourbon Fettuccine Gumi Nashi contained 50 g. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Tōkyō, Japan in 2019.
