This is the Fujiya Nectar Gumi White Peach, released in celebration of the company’s 60th anniversary. Known for its peach beverages, Fujiya formulated this gummy with 30% peach juice and purée.
Each piece featured an orange hue with darker specks, shaped into a small heart measuring approximately 1.5 cm at its widest point, and carried a sweet peach aroma. On tasting, the texture was unusually dense—lacking both the bounce characteristic of gelatin-based gummies and the brittleness of agar. Instead, the consistency resembled thickened peach purée set to a paste-like firmness. The flavour mirrored this, leaning heavily into the purée’s richness. However, a noticeable saccharine starch-like undertone ran throughout, detracting from the overall experience.
Despite the high fruit content, the flavour lacked the brightness and clarity found in other peach gummies on the market. As such, this product would not be considered for repurchase.
