Gluup Deli Log Konjac Jelly Mangosteen

This is the Gluup Deli Log Konjac Jelly Mangosteen. It gained its flavour from mangosteen concentrate as well as other artificial and natural flavours.

Both the juice and the jelly were a translucent clear hue, offering a peach-like sweetness typical of mangosteen. Consumed cool, the mangosteen notes were evident from the start of each sip, with a peach-like floral sweetness and mild tropical acidity true to the fresh fruit. However, in the finish, the artificial sweeteners — erythritol, acesulfame potassium, sucralose — left a bitterness lingering in the aftertaste. Texturally, the presence of xanthan gum was notable, giving the jelly a stodgy consistency with some chunks firmer than others, distinct from the smooth, slurpy consistency of konjac jellies produced in Japan. Overall, while the mangosteen flavour was unique, the texture and aftertaste made this not worth repurchasing.

This Gluup Deli Log Konjac Jelly Mangosteen contained 150 mL. It was produced in South Korea and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2024.
