Each piece was a heart shape, with approximate dimensions of 3 x 2.5 x 0.5 cm. The halves were shades of yellow and green, and emitted a delightful apple fragrance. Upon tasting, the sour crystals on the surface provided an initial burst of tangy acidity, coupled with a subtle, enjoyable crunch. After a few bites into the firm gummy, the refreshing notes of green apple took center stage. It commenced with a tartness that, aided by the sour crystals, closely resembled the zing of a Granny Smith apple. As this initial tartness subsided, the apple flavour shifted into a sweeter, yet still distinctly Granny Smith-like profile, preserving its crisp, citrusy-tart character, which also contributed to its soda-like resemblance. Notably, the pulpy texture of these gummies was reminiscent of fruit purée, setting them apart from the elastic textures commonly found in Japanese gummies. The adept balancing of sourness and sweetness rendered these gummies worthy of repurchase.
