This Lotte Jellycious Gummy Shark made use of the taste and shape of Lotte’s hit product ‘Joss Bar’ ice bar, which featured a shark-like shape and sweet orange and strawberry flavour. They contained 0.01% of both strawberry and orange concentrate.
These gummies were similar in shape and colour to the original ice bar, with the blue colour having no correlation to the natural colours of either strawberry or orange. They had a sweet and slightly medicinal aroma.
Upon tasting, the surface of the gummy had a slight bitterness from the orange oil, while biting through the gummy revealed an incredibly bouncy texture that was a smidgen softer than a Haribo Gold Bear yet just as satisfying to chew through. The flavour, though, retained a medicinal quality being a blend of both the sweet notes of strawberry and the slightly bitter notes of the orange oil, the latter also leaving a tongue-numbing sensation in the aftertaste. Overall, the texture of the gummy was impeccable and its redeeming quality.
