This KitKat Inspired by Byron Bay Cookies Milk Choc Chunk Cookie was part of Nestlé’s first KitKat collaboration in Australia with the popular (and delicious) Byron Bay Cookies.
Each block contained 11 wafers on a milk chocolate base topped with white chocolate and cookie pieces (1%).
These KitKat had a sweet chocolate aroma. Upon tasting, the fingers gave an audibly crisp break from the chocolate and then a further crunch from the wafers. The white chocolate and cookie pieces atop brought an enjoyable ‘cookies and cream’ flavour, while the milk chocolate base delivered a bolder cocoa flavour that was amplified by the milk chocolate cream sandwiching the wafers. The wafers brought much-needed relief from the sweetness of the chocolate. Overall, the combination of the bold chocolate and crisp wafer successfully captured the richness of the chocolate flavour in the original Byron Bay cookies.
