This Lion Sonomanma Yuzu contained sugared yuzu peel flavoured with honey.

The yuzu peel pieces ranged from 1 to 4 cm in length. Upon tasting, the sugar crystals and honey contributed a gentle crunch, setting the stage for the initial salivating acidity of the yuzu peel. Following this vibrant zestiness, chewing the peel unveiled an increasingly fragrant yuzu flavour, with the citrus’ floral notes harmonizing with the honey. A subtle hint of bitterness emerged towards the end, resulting in a bittersweet finish. We truly savoured the exquisite flavour and textures of this bag of sugared yuzu peel, making it a likely repurchase. Notably, we had previously tried sugared yuzu and kabosu peel during a visit to Yufuin in Ōita Prefecture; this particular preparation offered a similarly delightful experience while being more accessible in terms of both cost and availability.
