The sweet coating promptly melted on the palate, offering a general sweetness evolving into a richer, floral honey sweetness mid-bite. This sweetness harmonized with the warm, savoury qualities of the nuts, accentuating the creaminess of the cashews, the roasted nuances of the peanuts, and the subtly woody notes of the almonds. Although we favoured the more audible crunch resulting from the thicker caramelized honey coating on the Aldi Forresters On the Go Dry Roasted Honey Mixed Nuts version, we valued the richer nut flavour achieved with the thinner coating in this rendition.
