When consumed chilled, it delivered a silky mouthfeel but a markedly sweet and heavily buttery profile from the first sip through to the finish, tipping into cloying territory. The butterscotch flavour was immediate and unambiguous. The pearls were well-made with a consistent tender chew, and the milk mochi was similarly enjoyable—soft, cohesive, and able to travel through the straw. Crucially, both add-ins introduced welcome relief from the weight of the butterscotch, offering contrast without bringing additional sweetness. As a drink, it sat squarely within the novelty-collaboration space and succeeded on that front, though the flavour leaned overwhelming.
