Consumed chilled, the green mango’s vibrant sweetness and signature tanginess were immediately noticeable, offering a flavour reminiscent of ume (green apricot) rather than the sweeter yellow mangoes typically found in the West. The oolong tea came through in the second half of each sip, with a mellow roasted quality and almost no astringency. The green mango cubes added a firmer texture, especially near the skin, releasing nutty and floral notes that harmonised with the oxidised oolong. Overall, this green mango tea was a refreshing and unique addition to Sydney’s bubble tea scene and worth repurchasing.
