This is the Mango Smoothie and Rabbit Panna Cotta from Xing Fu Tang ($7.20), which consisted of strawberry pearls and blended fresh mango topped with pannacotta shaped like a rabbit.

Consumed chilled, the mango smoothie has a bright mango flavour while the strawberry pearls add only texture and no flavour. While the flavour was bright, a gritty finish — recalling milk from creamer but we did not see them add creamer – lingered unpleasantly on the palate from the smoothie. As with the earlier drink, the detailed and wobbly pannacotta is it’s saving grace, and even then it’s prominent dairy flavour was not redeeming. We’re beginning to wonder if the store’s claims that’s it’s ‘number one in Taiwan’ are even true.
