Gong She Lian Meng Chestnut Kernels

This is the Gong She Lian Meng Chestnut Kernels.

Each kernel had a tan to dark brown hue, measured roughly 2.5–3 cm at its widest point and carried no notable aroma.

On tasting, the exterior had a slight tackiness before giving way to a soft interior. The roasted chestnut flavour appeared promptly, with the darker kernels offering a deeper roasted sweetness and a marginally moister texture than the paler golden ones. Across the packet, the aromatic intensity was modest, and some kernels leaned firmer and drier than ideal, which detracted from consistency and overall enjoyment.

Overall, mildly flavoured chestnuts with uneven texture; edible, though not a brand suited to repurchasing.

This Gong She Lian Meng Chestnut Kernels contained 100 g. It was produced in China and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2025.
