This is the Jupon Kazuno Kajitsu no Sato Biwa.

It contained three deseeded loquats in syrup (sourced from China), with each about 3 cm in diameter.

The jelly had a translucent orange hue with a mild aroma and a gentle fruity sweetness. It had a firm, gelatin-like consistency with an enjoyable bounce. The loquats retained a pleasant texture, similar to ripe apricots, delivering a sweet, mild flavour with subtle tangy and floral citrus notes, reminiscent of peaches and apricots. Overall, the loquat jelly had a delicate flavour, milder than other fruit jellies we’ve tried, particularly compared to those from Tarami. However, we have yet to try Tarami’s loquat version to determine if the mildness is specific to loquats or this brand.

This Jupon Kazuno Kajitsu no Sato Biwa contained 250 g. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2024.
