Kazemaru Farm Nōka ga Hoshita Ringo Shinano Sweet

This is the Kazemaru Farm Nōka ga Hoshita Ringo Shinano Sweet, containing semi-dried Shinano Sweet apples produced in Aomori Prefecture.

The pieces were sliced into bite-sized pieces approximately 2–2.5 cm wide and 1 cm thick, with a pale yellow flesh and occasional dark brown-red peel. They carried a gentle, mellow sweetness in aroma.

On tasting, the surface was slightly leathery and dry to the touch, giving an impression similar to textured paper. The first bite offered mild resistance and a restrained apple flavour. However, as the fruit rehydrated during chewing, the texture transformed into a dense, sponge-like consistency, releasing a more pronounced apple character. The sweetness deepened mid-chew, rounded and bright with only a faint tang for freshness. The finish revealed a soft, pulpy texture with a concentrated fruit aroma reminiscent of sun-warmed apple flesh.

Overall, these semi-dried apples delivered a satisfying textural evolution and a gentle, natural sweetness that felt unhurried and authentic.

This Kazemaru Farm Nōka ga Hoshita Ringo Shinano Sweet contained 40 g. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Aomori, Japan in 2025.
