This is the Kimino Yuzu Sparkling Juice. It featured 7% yuzu juice from Shikoku, mountain water from Hyogo and organic sugar cane.

The beverage was an opaque pale yellow colour with a fresh yuzu aroma and moderate carbonation. Served chilled, salivatingly tart notes of yuzu came through at the head of each sip with the fragrant floral lemon-like notes of yuzu juice and yuzu oils. The yuzu flavour had little reliance on the zest — tasting more like whole pressed yuzu — and a very mild sweetness that came through subtly in the body to restrain the earlier tartness. The notes of yuzu oil left a subtle numbing sensation in the mouth – much like most citrus oils – that lingered long and pleasantly in the aftertaste with a subtle refreshing yuzu flavour.

This yuzu juice had the brightest flavour of all the ones that we’ve tried to date. Its flavour was somewhere between the CAPI Yuzu Fruit Soda (sweeter, less intense and a third of the price of the Kimino) and the Hamafukutsuru Yuzu Biyori (tarter, stronger and also made from whole yuzu from Shikoku). We would drink this regularly if it were more affordable, but for now, we’ll stick with the CAPI.

This Kimino Yuzu Sparkling Juice contained 250 mL. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2022.
