The drink was a cloudy yellow colour with a tangy passionfruit aroma and gentle carbonation. Served chilled, the crisp sweetness of apples — much like freshly squeezed, cloudy apple juice with more restrained sweetness— came through at the head of each sip before the tarter, tropical notes of passionfruit emerged in the body and complement the natural fermented acidity of kombucha remarkably well. The bubbles cleanse the palate in the finish. This crisp and tangy flavour of apple and passionfruit makes this kombucha enjoyable, but we prefer the more intense fruitiness of the raspberry and plum.
