This is the Nestlé KitKat Patissier no Ringo Stick, a Aomori-limited flavour created in collaboration with Ragueneau Patissier’s Apple Sticksa, a well-known omiyage from Aomori Prefecture.

Each box contained nine individually sealed pieces. Each piece was shaped like a mini KitKat, measuring 4.5 x 3 x 1 cm, with a creamy yellow coating and a sweet baked apple and cinnamon aroma.

The construction featured three wafers layered with two layers of cream made using apple powder from Aomori-grown fruit, all enrobed in apple pie flavoured white chocolate.

On tasting, the wafers provided a crisp crunch reminiscent of the pastry’s exterior. The apple pie flavour emerged immediately from the chocolate coating, beginning with a creamy vanilla sweetness akin to syrup-soaked sponge in the original confection. In the second half, the cream between the wafers introduced a stronger apple presence, adding a subtle acidity alongside baked apple and cinnamon notes that carried through to the finish.
Overall, this KitKat reproduced the flavours and textures of the original pastry with accuracy, delivering a balanced apple profile and complementary textures without becoming overly sweet.
This Nestlé KitKat Patissier no Ringo Stick contained 11.6 g x 9 pieces. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Hirosaki, Japan in 2024.
