The Cider Lab Royal Gala Apple Cider

The Cider Lab Royal Gala Apple Cider is the last of three ciders in their range. As the name suggests, it’s made with Royal Gala apples, an apple known for its mellow sweetness and popular in New Zealand and Australia.

The cider is a transparent very pale straw colour with a tart cider nose and moderate carbonation. Served chilled the mild sweetness of Royal Gala apples came through in the head with a slight acidity developing in the body finished by a lightly dry and crisp apple flavour. Overall, the flavour of the cider is light and bright, recalling the aromatic sweetness and crispness of Royal Gala apples.

While the Packham Pear Cider remains our favourite, this cider impresses us with its celebration of the distinct flavours of Royal Gala apples.

The underside of the back label featured a beautiful watercolour of Royal Gala apples that can be seen through the cider.

This The Cider Lab Royal Gala Apple Cider contained 330 ml. It was bottled in Australia and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2017.
