This is Americano by The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. It contained 34.21% coffee extract (>3% solids) and 160 mg caffeine (equivalent to that in 2.5 espresso shots). It is unsweetened.

The coffee was a semi-translucent dark brown-black colour with a syrupy, dark-roasted coffee aroma. Served chilled, deep roasted notes came through at the head of each sip with a warm nuttiness and developed with moderately bitter cocoa notes in the body. A subtle acidity lingered in the background of each sip and came to prominence towards the finish ahead of a return of a delicately roasted bitterness lingering in the aftertaste.

This was a very intense coffee as indicated by the high caffeine content, yet the coffee was smooth and rounded with the roasted notes, bitterness and acidity appearing in equal measure. It was easily the best of the pouch coffees we’ve tried to date.
