Used to lychee jelly in tiny cups, we’re slowly getting used to the idea of plastic pouches as a vessel for lychee jelly, first with the Orihiro Purunto Konnyaku Lychee Jelly and now with this Yuki & Love Litchi Jelly.

Each box comes with four individually sealed pouches of jelly. The shape of the jelly follows the pouch, which is gently squeezed to expose the jelly for eating.

The jelly has a fragrant lychee aroma, much stronger than you usually get from the cups. The lychee flavour, however, is less strong on tasting; it’s rather mellow with the dominant taste being the sweetness and firm texture. Despite its firmness, though, the jelly lacked the satisfying elasticity of the Orihiro Purunto Konnyaku Lychee Jelly, and the lychee flavour was bland compared to the bright and fresh flavour of the latter.

This Yuki & Love Litchi Jelly contained 200 g or 4 pieces. It was produced in Taiwan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2018.
