D’s been raving about the chips at Nando’s for a long time now, so one evening when my peckishness got the best of me, we stopped by Nando’s so I could finally figure out the fuss about these Peri-Peri Chips (seriously large, $7.00.95).

These chips are cooked to perfection with a delicately crisp outside and a fluffy inside. The peri-peri seasoning delivered a moderate heat that did nothing to slow us down like the piping hot innards of the chips. In addition to the gentle heat, their famous seasoning — a mix of paprika, oregano, cardamom, ginger, onion, garlic, salt and of course, piri-piri pepper — was flavourful and generously loaded on every chip. Their crispy and fluffy potato chips were the perfect vehicle for this moreish seasoning. It’s no wonder it’s a crowd favourite.
