These are the Calbee Harvest Snaps Black Bean Baked Crisps Original Salted made with 59% black bean, a staple of South American cuisine. They boasted of having more fibre and less salt and fat compared to regular potato chips.

These crisps were about 7 cm in length, 1 cm in width and 0.5 cm in height with a a beige-grey speckled black appearance and mellow savoury aroma. Upon tasting, they have mellow lightly salted black bean flavour and a crisp and airy texture that’s doesn’t feel quite dry with a powdery beige-grey residue left on the fingers with every contact. Overall, these were a tasty and healthy alternative to potato chips, but not so delicious to justify the premium.
This Calbee Harvest Snaps Black Bean Baked Crisps Original Salted contained 85 g. It was produced in Thailand purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2019.
