This is the Orihiro Purunto Konjac Jelly Plus Mixed Berry. It contained 1% fruit juice derived from strawberry, blackcurrant, blueberry, and red raspberry, as well as konjac sourced from Gunma Prefecture. Additionally, it featured konnyaku-derived glucosylceramide (0.6 mg per 130 g) as a functional ingredient purported to enhance skin moisturization. Notably, it also contained no calories, fat, or sugar.
The jelly had a translucent pale pink color. When tasted, it featured a juicy liquid component alongside the konjac, which was softer compared to the original pouches. The juice delivered a vibrant mixed berry flavour with a gentle acidity and well-balanced sweetness although the specific berries were not identifiable. The artificial sweeteners remained subdued during consumption, but left a subtle bitterness in the aftertaste, blending with the mixed berry flavour to create a delicate balance between enjoyable fruitiness and a hint of cough syrup-like taste. Thankfully, the experience remained pleasant, albeit with a noticeable association.
This Orihiro Purunto Konjac Jelly Plus Mixed Berry contained 130 g. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2024.
