This is Blessed Fruit Pies, a family-owned bakery specialising in handmade fruit pies and pastry items.

Previously located in Castle Cove, the business relocated to a larger café-style space in North Sydney in February 2026.
Across all pies, the pastry presented with a golden, laminated structure and a light sugar crust on top. Aroma opened with butter and light caramelised sweetness. On tasting, the pastry delivered a clean, crisp fracture, with the sugar crust adding a fine, brittle crunch before giving way to a flaky breakdown. The structure remained intact without becoming dense, and the base stayed firm and crisp, supporting the fillings without softening.

Apple & Cinnamon
Opened with a warm cinnamon aroma. The initial taste was spice-forward, with cinnamon leading in a rounded, non-bitter form. Through the mid-palate, the apple contributed a soft texture with a gentle sweetness, lacking the sharper acidity associated with firmer apple varieties. The finish remained warm and lightly spiced, with the pastry carrying through.

Blueberry
Opened with a direct blueberry note. The filling delivered a pronounced sweetness, with whole berries contributing both flesh and skin. Through the mid-palate, the skins introduced a slight fresh edge, adding mild contrast to the otherwise sweet profile. Texture combined soft filling with intermittent skin resistance.

Blackberry
Opened with a darker berry aroma. The initial sweetness was similar to the blueberry, but the mid-palate introduced a noticeable graininess from the seeds. This created a coarse texture that interrupted the otherwise smooth filling, with some bitterness emerging when the seeds were crushed. The finish retained sweetness but with residual grit.

Cherry
Opened with a clear cherry aroma. The initial taste delivered a balanced sweet cherry profile, with the fruit carrying a rounded sweetness. Through the mid-palate, the filling remained smooth and cohesive, with the fruit breaking down easily. The finish was clean, with sweetness holding without excessive tartness.

Sour Cherry
Opened with a sharper cherry aroma. The initial impression carried immediate acidity, followed by a more restrained sweetness. Through the mid-palate, the tartness remained dominant, giving a brighter but more pointed profile. Texture was similar to the cherry variant, with a soft, yielding consistency. The finish lingered with a pronounced sour note.

Overall, a crisp, well-structured pastry base paired with fruit fillings of varying balance, led by cherry and apple, and executed with a level of consistency that supports return visits.
