This is the Pokka Sapporo Hoobaru Fruit Tsubu Tsubu Tappuri Zeitaku Mikan. Translated to mean ‘a luxury mikan juice with lots of bits’, it contained 40% juice from mikan (Korea, China and Japan) and yuzu as well as juice vesicles from mikan.

Served chilled after gently shaking the bottle, the drink revealed an opaque yellow-orange hue, with suspended juice vesicles evenly dispersed throughout. Upon sipping, the pronounced mikan flavour emerged, characterized by the vibrant sweetness reminiscent of freshly peeled sweet mandarins. The presence of zestiness was minimal, and any potential bitterness from the oils was notably absent. The distribution of juice vesicles in each mouthful contributed to a delightful burst of mild acidity, skillfully counterbalancing the overall sweetness of the liquid. In summary, the refreshing sweetness combined with the textural intrigue from the suspended juice vesicles made this drink an enjoyable and lighthearted choice.
